I have always been fascinated by the human figure, in particular the mature female body. I love curves. Every curve, every cranny tells a story. A story of a life lived to the fullest, a story of a life with all its ups and downs. There is nothing more sensuous, more harmonic, and more organic than the female body. It is a language on its own.
After many years of struggling with poor self-image, looking into a mirror and seeing beauty instead of ugly was no easy task. But finally a feeling of awakening and expressing what’s inside with nothing to hide broke loose. There is nothing to be ashamed of. One could say that each piece is like a little goddess coming out into the world, each one with its own spirit and mood. Each one is perfect in its own imperfection. The pieces are not necessarily anatomically correct or very polished; there is a higher purpose for that. They are all expressive. They are all a part of who I am. They are all a bit of me.
